Patriotism swayed the vicinity of APS, SGNR during the commemoration of Republic Day Celebration on 26 January 2019.
The students holding the tircolour embossed the love for the nation in everyone.
Brig HB Gramopadye, Chairman, Capt Krishna Kumar,  SO school and  Principal APS Lt. Dr Vinita Chaturvedi graced the event by their benign presence.
A short cultural programme was executed in the remembrance of  unfathomable contribution of our freedom fighters.    Solo Song intiated the programme followed by patriotic moves of grade 1-5  and  6-8 students, poem recitation, speech etc. A skit centralizing  the fundamental rights also attained everyone’s attention. Students were also  felicitated during the event.
The chairman  in his motivational speech emphasized the development of moral character  along with academics.
The event was indeed  a  propogator of a true patriotism.


With a motive to acquaint APS,SGNR   students of classes  VII-IX  about courage and valour of our soldiers ; they  were provided  an opportunity  to  witness  weapon  display   in  AMOGH Motivational Centre.
Various types of weapons used by our veteran Army Persons viz. Riffles,  Missiles ,  Grenades etc. arouse a    inquisitiveness amongst theses young hearts.



Paying  deep gratitude  to the commendable valour of Indian Army   APS, Sri Ganganagar observed ‘The Indian Army Day’ on 15 January 2019. The event was organized by Ashoka House.

In the short cultural event  patriotic poems and  speech  infused the young hearts with unfathomable courage to be  like our brave soldiers. The brain storming quiz acquainted the students about some facts about Indian Army.

The  energetic  dance moves  at the culmination of the event  also wobbled the spectators to ponder  the crucial role of our army  in our lives. The event was a real  homage to our invincible warriors !

Vijay Diwas

‘Vijay Diwas’ was commemorated by 10 Jak in Nehru Park Sgnr and in Drigpal Stadium, military station on 17 December. It was witnessed by students of classes VI- VIII and VI- XI  respectively APS, Sgnr along with their teachers.
Patriotic programmes like speeches, dances etc. included in the events made the students recollect  the Indian security holders unfathomable victory over  Pak in 1971 war.
These celebrations were indeed a mode of gratitude towards  unvanquishable courage of our soldiers.


Christmas celebration was held  in APS, SGNR on 21st  December 2018. It was indeed a day of great hay , excitement and thrill as Shivaji House had scheduled a short cultural programme  to vibrate Christmas and New Year’s  greetings.

After seeking permission from the Principal,  the programme initiated. The first performance was a marvelous skit  which truly inculcated the value of humanity in the tender hearts. This  performance was followed by delicate moves of  the tiny-tots and a carol . Everyone got drowned in the happy festive vibes.

The annual observance of the International Day of Disabled Persons was proclaimed in APS  Sri Ganganagar   by organizing a painting and slogan writing competition for classes III-XII  ON 03 December.  The creative work of participants  aimed  to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society and development, and to increase awareness of the situation of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life.

The winners of the competition were lauded by Mrs Archana Sidhu, chairperson AMOGH FWO.



Sequencing the  varied stages of man- the most unique creation of the supreme power, an Annual Day  Stage Presentation depicting ‘Seven Ages of Man’ was  held by Army Public School,  Sri Ganganagar on 27-28 November 2018.

The chief guest  Maj General SPS Sidhu  GOC, 16 INF Div the Patron , APS, SGNR . The other dignitaries that graced the occasion were – Mrs Archana Sidhu – the Guest of Honour, Brig Vikas  Lakhera, SM Chairman APS, Sri Ganganagar .

The event unfolded with the lighting of the lamp and chanting of ‘ Ganesh Vandana’ Thereafter the  Vice- Principal Mrs.  Manpreet Kaur extended a warm welcome to all the dignitaries and  read the annual report highlighting the achievements of the academic year 2017-18.

The programme encapsulated  a gamut of emotions  of all the phases from natal  stage till rebirth  in form of   celebration  of  birth of a new life by presenting a  bhangra,  twists by tiny tots on  school life,  mime on dilemma of adolescence,  soldier’s life valour  , salvation in form of death and rebirth. Perfect moves of the performers   engrossed the spectators.  The function rendered with National Anthem.


Children’s Day Celebration

Colours sprinkled all their   vibrancy in APS, SGNR on 14 Nov when the students inaugurated the school in their favourite dresses. It was a day full of excitement, thrill and fun. Enactment by the teachers as students and a short cultural programme presented by them to show their love and affection for their dear ones was main  alluring reagent.
The programme initiated with morning assembly followed by bombing culture items viz. ‘Hasya Kavi Sammelen’ which was a fusion of entertainment and enthusiasm. Dance  performances on ‘Western’ and ‘Bhangra’ by the faculty stretched the diameters of their eyes. They profusely enjoyed  the parody  presented by their teachers.
The progamme winded up  with a motivational message by the Vice Principal and  thumbing up of the stage by each class dance performances.  On departure gift hampers and refreshment was also given to the students.
In all this Children’s Day  was indeed  one of the most memorable day for the young souls.


The celebration of Deepawali gladdened the students of APS, SGNR on 03 Nov.
The function began with a short poem, followed by a short speech, group dance etc.The performances of the participants galavizied the on lookers. It was a way to offer obseance to goddess of prosperity.

At the closer of the event words of praise were interviened by the viewers to apploud the Chandragupta House to put up this event, and for trending towards celebration of eco- friendly deewali and make it worth it.


Weapon Training : .22 Rifle

NCC cadets were briefed about .22 Rifle by NK H B Limba of 3 Raj Indep Coy, NCC, SGNR and ANO S/O Sunil Anthony, APS Sri Ganganagar. Cadets gained a firsthand knowledge about holding, positioning and aiming of target using the .22 Rifle. Cadets took an active participation and showed a keen interest in learning weapon technology.
